"Make a move with a purpose." Rathanak Sovann
On Saturday October 7th 2017, my friends at LLA and I took the PSAT on Khan Academy. We all arrived at around 7:45am and went to our separate rooms. The practice exam started and we all sat through the whole exam with breaks between each session.
Learning in the classroom vs actually doing things in real life can be really different. The theme of this first week of this school year is based on resourcefulness. My team and I received a set of tasks that we need to accomplish with 30 dollars. We need to navigate the city without an adult and try our best to complete these different tasks. We got a rugby ball and find prices and different options for our new school uniform. Buying a rugby ball might sound easy. But try to remember, this is Cambodia, we don’t really play rugby. We needed to hunt down the rugby club and then get info on where we can get a rugby ball and then go and get the rugby. My big takeaway from this activity is to be able to negotiate prices with Tuk Tuk and hunt down different places that have what I want around Phnom Penh.
