AP Physics 1

At the start of my 2016-17 school year, I was one of the three students that were asked to try out AP Physics 1 preparation course on EDx. I had about two hours per week of my expertise time to work with my peers and our physics fabulous physics teacher. The course was time-consuming, so I had to spend a lot of my own time working independently. I’ve learned motion in one dimension, introduction to forces, motion in two dimensions, forces in two dimensions, uniform circular motion and universal gravitation, energy and work, momentum and impulse, rotational kinematics, torque and static equilibrium, rotational dynamics, simple harmonic motion, waves, electric charge and electric interactions, and direct-current circuits. After the course has ended, I took the AP Physics 1 exam in May and got a four. Overall, I feel really proud of myself especially because I’ve faced many challenges throughout the course. I discovered that sometimes, things like waves and uniform circular motion doesn’t come easily to me. But if I give it a break and take a look at it again a few days later, I almost always managed to understand the concept.
